In 2022, Maruška started helping people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The work
One request leads to another, and another.
In August 2026 there was no car available, so Maruška traveled 32 hours by bus with supplies for soldiers. She had to repack everything to manage the transport. "The aid arrived. Mission accomplished," she wrote after arriving.
In September the team set out with two cars. Along the way they delivered medical supplies to a hospital, handed one car to a brigade, and drove the other all the way to the soldiers it was meant for. A car repair kept them there longer, and they spent two nights with the soldiers in a dugout, under artillery fire with drones overhead.

The association
Why UNITY AID CZ was founded.
The people around Maruška first supported soldiers through other organizations. Then they realized they could help most effectively by keeping the whole process under their own control: direct, fast, targeted aid. The association was registered on 13 October 2025, and ten days later launched its first official fundraiser. Source: the association's presentation on Donio

Fundraiser for a 100 000 CZK car for the association; part was paid by a sponsor and part by the team out of their own pocket. An auction of a second-hand drone helped too.
