How to help

You can help in more than one way.

With money, things, time, or as a company. You'll always know where your help goes.

What's needed most right now

  • Medical supplies
  • Cars
  • Generators
  • Equipment
  • Logistics
  • Families and refugees

Maruška regularly posts what's needed right now on X (X @maruskapomaha). In mid-October 2026 that's a Ford Transit van (fundraiser on Donio) and a Starlink Mini for keeping soldiers connected in the field. Before sending items, please get in touch so we can confirm what's actually needed on the ground.

Want to help with your own hands? The camouflage nets and trench candles that Maruška brings to Ukraine are made by Spletinia in Košice and other towns — you're welcome to join in too.

FAQ

Before you help

Who do you help?

For the soldiers we're in direct contact with, we source protective and medical equipment, power sources, cars, materials for shelters, and equipment for reconnaissance drones. We also deliver medical supplies to hospitals. Aid goes mainly to soldiers from Latin America fighting in Ukraine.

Where can I send a donation?

To the association's account 2403342741/2010 at Fio banka (a Czech bank). The account owner is the association UNITY AID CZ z.s. (IČO 23826282), not a private individual. Or through the current fundraiser on Donio, where you can see the progress and number of donors, and Donio checks receipts and invoices after the fundraiser ends. From abroad: IBAN CZ9520100000002403342741, BIC FIOBCZPPXXX; in US dollars to the association's USD account 2703342743/2010 (IBAN CZ7620100000002703342743).

Why is there a different account number on X?

The small, quick fundraisers Maruška announces on X (masks, cable, charging stations) are collected into her personal account 2727824173/0800, which she uses only for helping Ukraine. Purchases made from them are logged in the Delivery diary with a link to her post. If you want to donate to the association, use the association's account 2403342741/2010.

How do I know my donation arrived?

For each fundraiser we publish its progress, and in the Delivery diary the result with a link to the source. We distinguish whether the money was transferred, whether the purchase is documented, and whether the aid physically arrived.

Why are photos or the exact location missing from some handovers?

For safety reasons. We don't publish locations, unit markings, license plates, or people's faces without their consent. For safety reasons, we can't show everything we've brought.

Who's behind the association?

The public face of the aid is the volunteer Maruška. The team is small; one of us is Ukrainian and handles translating, buying, and arranging things. At least two board members act on behalf of the association, and the chairwoman is Ing. Ivana Nesměráková.

Can I donate items too?

Yes. Please get in touch with us beforehand so we know what you're bringing and whether it's actually needed on the ground.
